Hey stevia friends! Jen from BestSteviaSweetener.com back with something different today. We’re looking at NuNaturals’ take on stevia syrup, a unique product promising to deliver that real syrup experience without the sugar. At $19.78 for a 16oz bottle, let’s see if it lives up to the hype!
First Impressions
When my bottle arrived, I noticed it’s designed to mimic traditional syrup bottles with its squeeze cap and substantial size. The consistency immediately caught my attention – this isn’t your typical liquid stevia. NuNaturals has created something that actually pours like real syrup, thanks to their blend of natural thickeners.
What Makes It Different
NuNaturals takes an interesting approach by adding glycerin, guar gum, and xanthan gum to create authentic syrup texture. While this means fewer servings per bottle (365) compared to concentrated stevia products, it delivers something many sugar-free dieters miss: that real syrup mouthfeel.
Real-World Testing
Let’s start with the obvious – pancakes and waffles. The syrup pours beautifully, coating each bite just like traditional maple syrup. The vanilla flavor adds a pleasant dimension, and the thickness stays consistent even with hot foods. However, you’ll need more product per serving compared to concentrated stevia drops.
In beverages, the syrup works differently than traditional stevia sweeteners. It adds body to coffee drinks, almost like a flavored syrup at coffee shops. While it takes longer to dissolve than liquid stevia drops, the thicker consistency adds an interesting dimension to drinks.
I also tested it in recipes calling for maple syrup. While the sweetness level isn’t quite one-to-one (you’ll need more for equal sweetness), the texture works wonderfully in no-bake recipes and dressings.
Daily Use Experience
After several weeks of testing, I’ve found this product shines brightest when used as a true syrup replacement rather than an all-purpose sweetener. The thickness that makes it perfect for pancakes can be a drawback in applications where you just want sweetness.
The vanilla flavor is pleasant but worth considering in your recipe planning. It works beautifully in desserts and breakfast foods but might not suit every dish.
Value Consideration
At about 5.4 cents per serving, it’s pricier than concentrated stevia options. However, comparing it to premium maple syrup or sugar-free syrups makes the price more reasonable, especially considering its dual role as both sweetener and syrup substitute.
Final Verdict: 7.5/10
NuNaturals Stevia Syrup offers a unique solution for those missing real syrup texture in their sugar-free lifestyle. While it’s not the most economical way to add sweetness, its specialized formula makes it a worthy addition to your pantry if you frequently use syrups.
Tips for Success
Through my testing, I’ve found these strategies work best:
- Store at room temperature
- Shake well before each use
- Account for the vanilla flavor in recipes
- Use slightly more than maple syrup in recipes
- Perfect for breakfast foods and dessert toppings
Until next time, keep it sweet and syrupy!

Good stuff

I started eating plain yogurt and wanted something to help the flavor out without adding any sugar and I found these syrups and I have tried all of them pretty much except I think they had a mint chocolate That’s the only one I didn’t try All of them were pretty good My favorite being the chocolate almost $20 a bottle does seem like a lot but the bottle will last you quite a while cuz I used mine every single day almost My only complaints are I wish the cap for the bottles were made a little bit better and that the syrup was less liquid specifically when I was using the vanilla because it was liquid I would often use too much and it would be way too strong so if it had a more thicker consistency it would be easier to apply but maybe I could try putting it in the fridge for a little bit and that might help All in all great syrup flavors maybe they could add a cinnamon one or a orange flavor I would definitely love those be warm that they could possibly come with broken lids only happened once but just to keep that in mind
I’ve tried it all. This is the best. It runs out in 2 weeks though. $$$$

This is the best one I’ve found.
Why?
The others have so many flaws and this one tastes great but is overpriced for how much it takes to actually taste it.
I will elaborate.
1. Rx sugar brand chocolate syrup is lethal. Don’t even try theirs. It causes cramping the next day as if you ate poison. I’ve had erythritol sweetened products before but that one was like no other…
2. Nustevia’s is not sucralose, so there is no long lasting high insulin spike (which would increase your hunger) like in torani’s or Hershey’s (torani’s sugar free chocolate syrup tastes really good though. Hershey’s is not good and it doesn’t mix in well.
THIS product tastes amazing in milk or coffee. It takes about 1.5 tbs-2tbs per medium-large iced coffee to taste it or even have it turn chocolate brown. It is, without fail. always gone in about 2 weeks for me. Since it costs $17 – that would mean about $442 per year.
If that cost is significantly less than you’d spend on going out for iced coffee or something then sure go for it, but for me, I’m waiting for the price to come down or a knock-off. I’ve been waiting for years now with this product lol.
Everyone deserves chocolate coffee. May you find the one you seek.
Has sugar alcohols acts as a laxative
By Gigisdiamonds, Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2023
I love this it taste delicious as all the other of their syrups do. But I have been having sugar issues, and I have done some studying. I found out that sugar. Alcohols can actually promote diabetes. My stomach has been giving me issues and I couldn’t figure out why well I found out the glycerin and this has sugar alcohols and it has a very strong laxative effect on my stomach which is sensitive. Just a warning.. this is very addictive and I truly mean addictive. Not just oh it’s so delicious I want more for me. I am having a very hard time taking myself office, even though I have other ways of flavoring my coffee.

How it’s good with competitors
When it comes to stevia syrups, texture and consistency are just as important as sweetness. I’ve tested numerous stevia products over the years, and I want to share my experiences comparing NuNaturals’ syrup approach with two popular alternatives: Stevia in the Raw and Enzo. Each offers different solutions for stevia sweetening, but NuNaturals’ focus on creating a true syrup texture creates an interesting new category.
Let’s examine how NuNaturals Stevia Syrup performs in real-world use. I’ll break down the key differences in texture, taste, and practicality. With their use of natural thickeners like glycerin, guar gum, and xanthan gum, NuNaturals makes some interesting compromises to achieve that syrup-like consistency. After extensive testing in everything from breakfast foods to baking projects, the results offer some surprising insights about when these trade-offs matter most.

NuNaturals Stevia Syrup vs Stevia in the Raw:
This comparison showcases distinct approaches to stevia sweetening. While Stevia in the Raw aims for traditional sweetener replacement, NuNaturals creates a true syrup experience with added thickeners. Though less concentrated than powder alternatives, NuNaturals’ syrup consistency makes it perfect for traditional syrup uses. The price per serving is higher, but the specialized formula might justify the cost for those seeking a genuine syrup substitute.
NuNaturals Stevia Syrup vs Enzo:
Comparing these brands reveals very different market approaches. Enzo focuses on pure stevia extracts while NuNaturals embraces additional ingredients to achieve specific textures. The higher serving count of Enzo’s products reflects their concentration, while NuNaturals trades potency for authentic syrup texture. For those needing a true syrup replacement, NuNaturals fills a unique niche that Enzo’s pure extracts can’t match.
