When my package of Splenda’s liquid stevia arrived, I noticed they’ve leveraged their recognized brand design with the familiar yellow accents. At $14 for two 3.38 fl oz bottles, it positions itself as a mainstream option in the liquid stevia market. Let’s dive into how it actually performs.
What Sets It Apart
Splenda brings their substantial brand recognition to liquid stevia with a straightforward approach. Each squeeze delivers 1/8 teaspoon, equivalent to 2 teaspoons of sugar – a simplified measuring system that takes the guesswork out of sweetening. The formula focuses on accessibility over concentration.
Real-World Testing
My morning coffee ritual revealed Splenda liquid stevia’s strengths and limitations. The squeeze bottle makes measuring foolproof, though I noticed it takes more product compared to concentrated alternatives. While it dissolves easily, there’s a slight artificial note that becomes more noticeable in plain beverages.
Cold drinks showed similar results. The sweetness remains stable with ice, but plain water highlights the formula’s compromises. It performs better in flavored beverages where other tastes help mask any artificial notes.
Kitchen experiments proved interesting. The product excels in simple applications like oatmeal or yogurt. However, the more diluted formula makes it less suitable for serious baking projects where concentration matters.
Value Analysis
The twin-pack pricing strategy offers decent value at about 17 cents per serving. While this seems higher than powder alternatives, the convenience factor might justify the cost for some users. The shelf-stable formula and no need for refrigeration add practical benefits.
Making It Work
Through extensive testing, I’ve found this product works best when:
- Used in flavored beverages rather than plain water
- Starting with less than recommended amounts
- Kept at room temperature
- Used within 6 months of opening
- Applied in simple recipes rather than complex baking
Final Verdict: 7/10
Splenda Liquid Stevia offers a safe, mainstream entry into liquid stevia sweeteners. While it may not satisfy stevia purists, its familiar brand name and foolproof dispensing make it an accessible option for newcomers. The formula compromises on concentration for ease of use, but delivers consistent results for basic sweetening needs.
Until next time, keep it sweet and simple!

Practical way to add sweetness to my coffee
By Aileen, Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2024
I recently discovered the liquid stevia sweetener and it has quickly become my go-to choice for sweetening my coffee. The liquid stevia sweetens my coffee just right, without any overpowering artificial taste. The easy to carry squirt bottle makes it convenient to add the perfect amount of sweetness to my beverages on the go. I love how this sweetener enhances the flavor of my coffee without adding any extra calories. Cheers to a perfectly sweetened cup of coffee every time!

I’ve come to love the sweet well-balanced flavor of both pure stevia and monk fruit sweeteners together. They just seem to complement one another. Splenda Stevia Liquid (as well as Splenda Monk Fruit Liquid) are the real deal without added sugar alcohols or other products to alter their taste. If you’re not a fan of pure stevia, do yourself a favor and try it with monk fruit extract. Although pricey, I do love these larger size bottles for my morning coffee. Quick and easy to squirt when you’re half asleep. I do tend to run through them quickly though. I took a star off my review, as you can find bulk pure 100% stevia extract and pure monk fruit extract elsewhere for a fraction of the price.
There are better versions from other companies
By Blurryface, Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2020
I would strongly suggest buying stevia from another company….and not simply because Splenda is the leading seller of very “dirty” sweeteners. There are a lot of convenient squeeze bottle liquid stevia products on the market now and many of them are more concentrated than this one, with none of the preservatives this brand uses.
This product includes citric acid, sodium benzoate, and potassium sorbate to keep the stevia shelf-stable. Find a company that uses more natural and less preservatives. (Citric acid is fine, it’s just a form of vitamin C.) Also, I have found other companies that sell liquid stevia with less of a funny taste than this but that is sweeter per squeeze so that you get a lot more sweetness for the price you pay. This is mid-level sweet for a stevia product which means you’re getting less servings per bottle for the price.

How it’s good with competitors
When it comes to liquid sweeteners, formulation and concentration significantly impact daily usability. I’ve tested numerous stevia products over the years, and I want to share my experiences comparing Splenda’s liquid stevia with two established brands: NOW’s BetterStevia and Enzo’s flavored drops. Each represents different approaches to liquid stevia, with Splenda leveraging their mainstream recognition for a simplified formula.
Let’s examine how Splenda’s liquid stevia performs in real-world scenarios. I’ll break down the key differences in concentration, taste, and value. Their promise of healthcare professional endorsement and simplified measuring system (1/8 teaspoon = 2 teaspoons sugar) creates some interesting testing parameters.

Splenda Liquid Stevia vs NOW BetterStevia Drops:
Comparing these market contenders reveals distinct philosophies. BetterStevia’s 8oz bottle offers a more concentrated, purer formula, while Splenda emphasizes convenience with their squeeze bottle format. BetterStevia provides better value long-term through higher concentration, though Splenda’s familiar brand name and simpler measuring might appeal to stevia newcomers. In taste tests, BetterStevia delivers a cleaner finish, while Splenda’s formulation shows its compromises in simpler beverages.
Splenda Liquid vs Enzo Flavored Drops:
This comparison highlights divergent market strategies. While Splenda aims for mainstream accessibility with a basic sweetener, Enzo’s premium flavored varieties (caramel, chocolate, vanilla, etc.) target sophisticated users. Enzo’s 4oz bottles may cost more but offer creative possibilities that Splenda’s plain formula can’t match. The choice often depends on whether you want simple sweetness or the versatility of flavored options. Splenda works for basic needs, while Enzo’s range opens up new sugar-free possibilities in cooking and beverages.
