The actual Stevita product is good; however, when I opened the padded envelope, half of the Stevita spilled out all over my sofa and I had to clean up the mess. The bottom of the container was split open which probably happened in transit. It should have been shipped in a box.

I have been using Stevita Spoonable for many years and have been happy with it. But my latest order was an utter disappointment – it is now mostly Erythritol. Now, before I get started on my rant, let me just say that Stevita Spoonable has had Erythritol as a minor filler for a long time. I it was the one thing that I never liked, but in the grand scheme of things this is a pretty minor transgression – there wasn’t enough erythritol in the mix to cause any kind of digestive distress (gas, bloating and diarrhea), and compared to what other companies use as filler, erythritol is actually the best. The problem I have with the present product is that Erythritol is now the first and most dominant ingredient in the jar!

When my box came, I opened it and the first thing I noticed was that the look of the jar had changed. This wasn’t a problem for me because companies change their packaging all the time. Suffice to say that the photo in this ad looks like the old product and the jar I received looks like something completely different. But it isn’t the packaging that I consume and only the contents matter. Right?

Then I opened the jar and received a big shock. It wasn’t the familiar fine powder that I am used to, but a granulated SUGARY looking substance! I smelled a rat and looked at the ingredients. It is no longer stevia. It is Erythritol with stevia added as a last ingredient! I immediately emailed the seller and didn’t receive so much as the courtesy of a reply.

First ingredient is not Stevia.

Hands down the best tasting stevia I’ve tried, However, the first ingredient is not Stevia. That was my bad for not checking into this further. I count macros & am EXTREMELY carb sensitive so every carb counts. Since the first ingredient is Erythritol then Stevia the carb amount varies greatly especially if you are like me and have a huge sweet tooth. I will go back to my usual brand. If you are counting carbs, don’t purchase, if you just like an alternative to sugar, you will enjoy this a lot.
